If you just loooved Tomb Raider Legend along, you will probably enjoy the next installment in the Tomb Raider series, as it will have the same developer, Crystal Dynamics.

This was confirmed by Eidos product acquisition director Ian Livingstone, to GameSpot. The eight installment in the Tomb Raider series is due to come out sometime in the 2008 financial year, to be more exact sometime between July 1st of 2008 and July the 30th of 2009. There will also be a PS3 version of Tomb Raider and I guess you won't have much trouble getting your hands on a PS3 by the time of the game's release.

Tomb Raider is one of the most powerful franchises in the game industry, the first installment dating from 1996. The first Tomb Raider game was originally released for PC, PlayStation and Sega Saturn (allow me two minutes to roll on the floor and laugh).

Lara Croft is the main character of the series, and she is planned out to be some sort of a female Indiana Jones. She is in constant search of treasures and artifacts in order to solve the mysteries that surround her and her family. There have also been a couple of movies made after the Tomb Raider game, so I guess it's safe to say that Lara is quite famous.
