PS3 and PC owners, beware of the patch!

In case you didn't know, EA's December patch for Need for Speed ProStreet manages to do one important thing: it corrupts your PS3 or PC version of the game. There's no fix from the game's producer yet, but seemingly they're sorry for the issue and they're trying to solve it. Here's what an EA moderator on the official forums claims, regarding this problem: "It frustrates us just as much that our great fans aren't able to have an enjoyable experience with ProStreet because of issues such as these."

The (half) good news is that a fix for the PS3 version of the game was found and it will probably be available tomorrow morning. Update 1.1 is the one causing the trouble, just so you know and the glitches involve problems like game freezing or crashing, specially when you're tuning cars of trying to save the game. Meanwhile, fans of the game get frustrated and claim (on the same forum mentioned above) that this is the glitchiest game they've played and that it's not worth the effort of playing it.

Fortunately, the official forums moderator jumps back in with some good news: "...our team is working actively to investigate this problem and we are not taking the issues you are having with the patch lightly. We were hoping for the release of the patch to fix these problems but unfortunately it seems to have caused quite a few more. I will update you as soon as our team identifies the root of the problem, and we will try our hardest to figure out a proper solution."

Will the ProStreet fans have to "pull a BioShock" on this game and create their own fix? You might remember the fact that when BioShock came out this summer it was plagued by that widescreen bug and the patch for it was delayed so much, that a couple of gamers created their own method of solving the issue.
