The games in the Pokemon series have always been appreciated by players all over the world thanks to their simple gameplay mechanics, interesting storylines and countless hours of fun provided. It only seems natural to get even more releases in the Pokemon universe and we can all agree that there's no better place to present a new game than the E3. Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia is the title I'm talking about and it is under development at Creatures Studio. It is scheduled to be released on the 10th of November this year, exclusively for the Nintendo DS handheld.

Your task is to become a Pokemon ranger, protect nature, help people and other Pokemons in need. The game will be an action-adventure one, unlike the RPG style we got in Pokemon Diamond, Pearl and so on - this was probably the trickiest decision the developers had to make, but I really appreciate their desire to bring us something new.

While playing, we'll be able to capture Pokemons with the Nintendo DS stylus (which will become a Capture Styler in-game) by drawing circles on the touchscreen around the Pokemon we want to get. Also, when we complete certain quests, the Ranger Union awards us with power-ups, which add new upgrades and functions to the Capture Styler, thus making our jobs a lot easier.

As it happens in other games in the Pokemon Universe, Shadows of Almia brings almost infinite replay value, since we will now be able to partner with any Pokemon in order to complete the mission we're tasked with. Along with this, a brand new and complex world is brought to us (that of Almia), delivering more missions, adventure and gameplay options than ever, thus turning this upcoming title into a real must have for all the fans out there.

The only problem with Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia is the fact that it only offers single player game modes. But sometimes it's better to do your job alone!
