Nintendo has once again updated the WiiWare and DSiWare online services with new downloadable games, each delivering a different experience on the Wii home console or the DSi handheld platform.

This time, the Wii receives a new title in the Bit.Trip series, as well as a new kids game called My Planetarium.

Bit.Trip Fate is the latest game in the popular side-scrolling shoot-em up series, and sees CommanderVideo once again riding the vibe to discover his destiny.

In Fate, the character will use the friends he made in the last Bit.Trip game, Runner, and will also join forces with other characters like Junior Melchking or CommandgirlVideo.

Bit.Trip Fate is available for download at just 800 Wii Points and rated E for Everyone.

Next up, those who want to brush up on the astronomy skills can get My Planetarium from Hudson Entertainment, which will allow you to observe celestial bodies right from your own living room with the help of the Wii remote.

11 different star tours are available for people, and treat various subjects like stars, planets, asteroids or other cosmic objects.

My Planetarium is available for just 500 Wii Points.

Nintendo DSi owners will be able to enjoy not one but four new games, including Go! Go! Island Rescue!, Spot the Difference, GO Series Defense Wars and Flashlight.

The first one is Go! Go! Island Rescue!, which promises to be a fun little game that requires you to save different people from an island that is collapsing around them.

You need to throw the people called Darwins around 50 different levels so that they can reach a fire exit and get to safety.

The game is priced at 500 DSi Points and is suitable for children 10 years or older.

Spot the Difference, like its name suggests, is a simple application that displays two photos and tasks players with spotting the difference between them, and compete in different tournaments and cups.

160 photos are included in the game, with more than 1,000 combinations of differences built in, and the game is priced at 500 DSi Points.

GO Series Defense Wars is a tower defense title, which asks players to defend their bases against waves of enemies by using a small arsenal or weapons and other equipment.

Try to survive as long as possible and set new high scores for just 200 DSi Points.

Flashlight, another eloquently titled application, turns the two screens of the DSi into a flashlight with different features like changing the color or intensity of the light.

For 200 DSi Points you can use the handheld when you have no other flashlight available.
