Back in February, word got out in the media that Nicollette Sheridan was leaving the dramedy “Desperate Housewives.” Although this was not the first time that Sheridan’s character, Eddie Britt, was leaving the show, it would be for good, as the network later confirmed. With this in mind, Sheridan left the set only after cleaning her trailer of everything the network had paid for at the start of the season, as Marie Claire can confirm.

According to several other reports in the media, Nicollette and the other cast members each received a $30,000 allowance from ABC so as to be able to decorate their trailers with anything they might want to make their stay on set pleasanter. Sheridan, just like the other stars, took the money and bought plenty of stuff, including chandeliers and silk bed linen and white, matching carpets. From what industry insiders say, she was in no way entitled to take all these things when she left.

“She is accused of taking a flat-screen TV, a mattress, pillows, a sofa, pots and dishes, and even chandeliers from her designer trailer.” Marie Claire writes. Moreover, Sheridan even took the fixtures on the walls and left nothing much but the sink, sources who reportedly have seen what’s left now of her trailer tell the media. “She definitely went out with a bang!” one such insider reveals. Another one agrees: “When producers showed up the following Monday, they were shocked. Nicollette’s trailer was virtually empty.”

Media outlets that have already contacted Sheridan’s publicist and a spokesperson for the network have found out that no one is willing to point the finger at the actress and call her a downright thief. ABC confirmed that she had cleaned out her trailer, but would not say whether she had the right to take everything home, since no understanding between her and the network stipulated this. Her rep, on the other hand, opined that those things rightfully belonged to her, and this should be the end of the story.

Meanwhile, sources in the media claim that this was Sheridan’s final act of revenge (of sorts), and all this talk is prompted by the fact that no one knows exactly why she left “Desperate Housewives,” meaning, whether she did it on her own or was fired.
