Nicole Richie Got Implants over the Summer

She once said that she didn’t really like it how, when she was pregnant, she had larger breasts. Nicole Richie has had a change of heart – and got implants over the summer, a new report suggests.

Us Weekly claims to have it on very good authority that the socialite and now mother of two had some work done for a fuller, perkier bust.

Sources close to her tell the magazine that she’d always talked about getting something done after the pregnancies, but she never seemed determined enough to be convincing.

“An insider tells the new issue of Us Weekly – out now! – that the Fashion Star mentor got implants this summer,” Us writes in its online preview issue.

Apparently, the news took even Nicole’s friends by surprise – but the change is a good one, they say.

“In the past, she said she wanted a lift, though we never thought she was serious. [But] she’s been open about it to friends,” a spy says for the publication.

“Richie flaunted her fuller physique while vacationing with pals in Mexico September 24 – a stark contrast to the flat-chested bikini body she showed off just one year earlier,” Us further notes.

It even has comparison photos to prove that, indeed, Nicole had work done; however, voices in the blogosphere point out that this could be just a simple case of bad bra versus good bra, and not necessarily of implants.

Another insider is telling the mag that Richie finally mustered the courage to go under the knife thinking of her husband, Joel Madden.

Admittedly, the two pregnancies had ruined her once gorgeous body.

“The pregnancies took a toll. She said breast-feeding killed what [breasts] she did have!” says the second source.

Another celebrity believed to have had surgery on her breasts after pregnancy is Gwyneth Paltrow, who has even taken a public stand against plastic surgery.

Neither star has addressed the issue yet.
