If you are thankful for all those ultra-slim mobile phones to be found on the market right now, you can only 'blame' Samsung. After having successfully presented a double-sided LCD that has the purpose of making mobile phones even slimmer than before, and more affordable as well, although we'll have to wait for a while before seeing a phone that includes this new technology, Samsung keeps on manufacturing slim mobile phones like this new SGH-A727, presented at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The HSPDA/UMTS mobile phone is only 8.9mm thick, which makes you wonder how they manage to fit a handful of features in such a thin cell phone. It comes equipped with a 262k color display as well as a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth with A2DP support. The internal memory can be expanded via the MicroSD card slot the SGH-A727 includes.

The best feature this phone includes is definitely its 3G support, allowing the user to carry around an ultra-slim handset without having to give up video call capabilities or fast connectivity speed. The phone measures 114.5 x 50 x 8.9 mm, so it's far from bulky, and is mainly a stylish and slim cell phone that targets the average user.

"Samsung is proud to consistently design ultra-slim and stylish handsets," said Dale Sohn, President, Samsung Telecommunications America. "A number of our handsets boast a sleek and innovative design with a host of customer-pleasing multimedia features, including the CES Innovations Honoree SGH-a727."

While information regarding its availability or price is yet unknown, the phone is expected to head on to Cingular.
