Last week saw the release of the first official trailer for the seventh “Star Wars” movie, the first installment in the series since Disney acquired the rights for the franchise and decided to reboot it. “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is one of the most anticipated movies of our times, so naturally, people want to know when more footage is coming out.

First things first, though: the trailer is embedded below, just in case you’re one of the few people online who missed it. It includes plenty of eye candy for fans of the iconic franchise, but also the promise of being appealing to newcomers, which is the best thing you could have expected from it.

Disney has a huge task with rebooting one of the most famous film franchises in the world, but this first look at it shows signs that it’s on the right path. Of course fans want to see more, can you blame them?

According to a report in Slash Film, a new trailer is coming, but it won’t be soon: insiders confirm for the trade publication that a new trailer will be attached to Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the second film in the “Avengers” franchise.

That’s the good news. The bad news is that we’ll have to wait until May 2015 to see it, because that’s when “Ultron” opens in theaters.

Another piece of good news is that “Ultron” will most likely bring more Loki than initially expected, with buzz online saying that Marvel bosses have actor Tom Hiddleston booked for reshoots in early 2015, on the film’s London set.

Even more good news should be the fact that, until this new “Star Wars” trailer drops, we’ll have probably been treated to at least a few official photos from the film. If Disney plays this PR tour by the rules, it won’t allow this many months to go by without releasing anything to whet fans’ appetite.

Until the trailer drops, here’s the first one. Andy Serkis has confirmed that his is the voice in the trailer, so if you were hoping for some kind of Benedict Cumberbatch cameo, as many fans hoped, I’m sorry to disappoint you.
