14 DAY TRIAL // Great news for Loki Tom Hiddleston fans! Marvel is just as in love with this villainous character as the fans who have been asking for his standalone pic since the first “Thor” movie, and bosses have decided that “Avengers: Age of Ultron” should include more Loki.
Reshoots have been scheduled to take place in London in early January, at Pinewood Studios, and Hiddleston has already been informed he should keep his schedule clean to be there, the Daily Mail informs, citing sources familiar with the production.
As per the same source, Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), and Paul Bettany (The Vision) have all been asked to make themselves available for reshoots, but it’s not known whether they will be shooting with Hiddleston or separately.
The report makes no mention of Idris Elba, who plays Heimdall, and who accidentally revealed that he’d been asked to do reshoots for “Age of Ultron” earlier this month. In fact, also then, he dropped the ball on Hiddleston’s involvement as well, which prompted director Joss Whedon to say that he would be duly reprimanded by the bosses at Marvel.
That will probably not happen, but accidental reveal or not, I guess it’s now certain that Loki will be featured in some form or another in “Age of Ultron.” He’s already appeared in the first “Avengers” film and managed to steal the show completely in the second “Thor” movie, and has been confirmed for the third, so maybe it’s time for Marvel to recognize that they have a huge winner on their hands and just give his character his standalone movie.
The fans would love nothing more than that. Well, maybe Hiddleston would love it better than the fans because he’s crazy about this character, as he made sure to let the fans know on countless occasions.
