World of Warcraft is the biggest online game out there, boasting over 11,5 million paying subscribers monthly, who can't wait to find out new information about their beloved title and what Blizzard, the company behind it, has planned for its future.

As you all know, a few months ago, the company trademarked the world 'cataclysm', which it tied to various things such as digital distribution or merchandising, but it seems that a lot of people are starting to confirm that it will be most likely the title of the new expansion brought to World of Warcraft, which will follow up the hugely successful Wrath of the Lich King.

Also, according to some very reliable sources for WoW.com, this new expansion will most definitely bring two new playable races, one for each of the factions featured in the game, the Alliance and the Horde. These new races have already been highly speculated, as a dedicated player found four Halloween masks in the texture files for the recent 3.2 patch that the game received.

These new races, the Worgen and the Goblins, will be a major part of the Cataclysm expansion, according to the sources, which declined to reveal more. While the wolf-like Worgens will be joining forces with the Alliance, the Horde will be welcoming the Goblins with open arms, according to the source.

Multiple theories suggesting this move have already appeared, as experienced players claim that the walled-off human nation of Gilneas may have become infested with Worgen during its 10-year-long isolation period. The Goblins make their home on the island of Kezan, situated just south of the Maelstrom storm, whose creation is commonly referred to as the Cataclysm.

While there are certainly a lot of things making these rumors plausible, don't forget that Blizzard is not in the habit of letting its big announcements slip. All we can do is wait until next week when the BlizzCon even will start in California.
