One of the mobile phones that would soon offer 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) capabilities to Verizon Wireless customers is the Samsung Stealth, which was officially unveiled during the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas as the Samsung SCH-i520 (or Samsung 4G LTE phone).

The mobile phone was rumored back in January to be on its way to land at Verizon before February was over, along with HTC ThunderBolt, another highly appealing smartphone from the wireless carrier, but nothing happen until now.

Although rumored for an April launch, a specific release date for this device is not known at the moment, and it might take a while before Verizon makes a formal announcement on this.

ThunderBolt is expected to be the first 4G LTE phone to hit the carrier's airwaves and, since that device is said to have been delayed, other LTE smartphones on their way to Big Red would share a similar fate.

However, a series of new photos with this device emerged recently, courtesy of TechnoBuffalo, offering us the possibility to have a better look at what Samsung and Verizon would put in users' hands in the not too far future.

The Samsung Stealth arrives on shelves with a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus screen, beneath which Samsung packed a 1GHz Hummingbird application processor.

Moreover, the mobile phone should include an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back (with 720p video recording) when made available for purchase, as well as a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video calling.

LTE/CDMA radios would also be present into the mix, as well as Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, aGPS, and HDMI-out. The handset runs under Android 2.2 Froyo, though it should receive an OS upgrade soon.

The smartphone would sport a 1500 mAh LiIon battery, microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, Mobile hotspot capabilities with support for up to 8 devices, or 3.5mm headphone jack.

Hopefully, Verizon would manage to resolve any issues that it is currently having with these LTE smartphones, and which prevent it from putting them on shelves, and the Samsung Stealth, along with the ThunderBold, or Motorola DROID Bionic, would arrive in users' hands sooner rather than later.
