New Halo 3 Screenshots

Some of Halo 3's alpha testers in Germany have proved very naughty, to our delight, and brought new Halo 3 screenshots to the world. Since the trailer at the 2006 E3 Microsoft convention where it was shown at, few
clues about how the game will look or play have surfaced. Luckily, German alpha testers have lived up to our expectations and leaked a new batch of screenshots of Halo 3's in-game activity.

The E3 trailer from 2006 begins in a dry, desolate area, a few miles inland of New Mombasa's remains. Parts of the broken space elevator and bridge are in the background. Through the smoke and rubble, the Master Chief, emerges, occasionally obscured by overlaid images of what appears to be Cortana transmitting a distorted message: "I have defied gods and demons. I am your shield; I am your sword. I know you; your past, your future, this is the way the world ends."

Halo 3 is the third game in the best-selling Xbox game franchise Halo, it is practically one of the most highly-anticipated first-person shooters at the moment, and it is currently in development under the Bungie Studios label, for the Xbox 360. An official announcement on the developer's website states that Halo 3 will end the current story arc of the Halo trilogy. But we know how that goes don't we?

The game ending always leaves a blur and not only for artistic reasons, but surely to leave an open door for what may come next. Would you be that surprised to hear: "This is the way the world begins?"
