Whenever some big change happens on the Chinese market, you can be sure the rest of the world will feel it. After all, China holds 20% of the world's population.
Not long ago, I reported that TV sales were about to drop by 25% there.
The reason was that the Chinese government was no longer going to offer subsidies for LCD TV acquisitions.
Now, while there might not be enough reason to make a different forecast, we can risk a hope that things will rebound in the fourth quarter.
After all, if a certain recent report is to be believed, a new round of subsidies will be issued in 4Q13.
This one won't be geared at everyone though, but only at high-end displays.
Still, it's better than nothing, especially if the subsidies last as long as the previous ones did (from 2012 to May 2013).
