Even if they're small, you wouldn't have guessed exactly how big of a business casual games are. Microsoft saw their ever growing popularity and decided to launch a website dedicated exclusively to playing casual games. You know, the ones that old people like. Microsoft's new casual game website hosts a total number of 400 small games from every major casual game genre like puzzle, word, card or arcade which can easily be found on Xbox Live, MSN Games, and Windows Live Messenger.

Now that you know exactly what Microsoft's new website is all about, you can rather tell your parents about it because according to Microsoft, about 120 million users play them world wide each month. The first-party Microsoft developer that created Live Arcade titles Hexic and Uno, Carbonated Games can also be found on the new site but it has a rather small contribution to what the whole deal brings.

To give you a better idea on just how successful Microsoft think they are going to be with their new casual games, here's the Casual Games Fact Sheet they presented: "The casual games space is growing at an unprecedented rate, and Microsoft has emerged as an undisputed leader in multiple-platform casual offerings, with more than 10 years of experience in the space. According to DFC Intelligence, revenue from casual games is expected to grow from $713 million (U.S.) in 2005 to $1.56 billion (U.S.) in 2008, fueled by the global appeal of games such as Bejeweled, Hexic, Diner Dash and Bespelled."

Yeah, yeah, yeah? figures don't impress us. Let's see it and we'll tell you how good the whole deal is like, OK?
