BlackBerry users in the UK and US have now a new application available for their devices, one coming from HulloMail, a hybrid voicemail and email communications technology. The new application comes as an integrated “voice-email” service, and converts standard voicemails into digital MP3 files so that users can store them easily for as long as they want.

In addition, the service is also said to offer an easy way to manage voicemail communications from about any handset, while being designed as a replacement for the traditional voicemail. As for the new feature-rich Blackberry app, it is compatible with devices like the Blackberry Bold, Blackberry Tour, and Blackberry Curve 8900 models, and can be downloaded at the moment from the HulloMail site. According to the company, it will come to the Blackberry App World as well.

“HulloMail is the future of voicemail technology,” said Andy Munarriz, founder and CEO of HulloMail. “Today’s busy consumers, who have access to the latest communications tools in every other area of their mobile life, don’t want their voicemails to be hidden in a black box on a network to which they have no direct access. They want their messages to be easily trackable and manageable in a common inbox where they can personally handle them in a streamlined manner whenever they want to. With HulloMail, we are taking the storage of voicemail directly to the end user where it rightfully belongs.”

What Blackberry users will receive upon downloading the application includes the possibility to receive and play voice-emails on their handsets, permanent notifications on missed calls, sharing, deleting or keeping voicemails options, as well as a series of personalization features. At the same time, options present with the standard HulloMail will also come to BlackBerry users, including message list/media playback, sender call back, push notification, or integration with Google contacts. According to the company, the HulloMail service is available for use with an existing mobile number too.
