Neonode N2, the Sweden-manufactured small and fashionable touchscreen handset released this year, is now officially being launched in Turkey. The device should go on sale staring November, after its official presentation, which will take place during CeBIT Eurasia 2008, the event held in Istanbul between October 7 and October 12.

The distributor of Neonode N2 across Turkey is MEP ILETISIM ve Dis Tic. A.S. (also known as MEP), which has more than 3,000 stores, and is one of the official partners of Turkcell, the largest mobile carrier in the Euro-Asian country.

Initially, MEP placed an order only for the black version of Neonode N2, but since more colors are now available, the Turkish distributor ordered yet another batch of handsets. Thus, users from Turkey will be able to buy the N2 in Lime (green), Rubine (red) and Azure (blue) as well.

Weighing 60 grams and measuring 77 x 47 x 14.7 millimeters, Neonode N2 will surely be barely noticeable in your pocket. The handset's features are not bad at all, considering its dimensions, and include a 2-inch TFT touchscreen display with 65K colors and 176 x 220 pixels, an intuitive neno touch interface, a 2 Megapixel camera, HTML browser, quad-band GSM connectivity (with GPRS only), Music and Video player (supporting MP3, WMA, MPEG and WMV formats), stereo sound, organizer and calculator. The tiny handset comes with a 1GB microSD card in the package, which can be changed with another SD or SDHC card of up to 16GB.

The retail price of the N2 in Turkey should be similar to the one found on Neonode's official website, meaning of 250 Euros (350 USD).
