Get rid of all those pesky bugs

It seems that the moment that quite a lot of racing fans out there have been waiting for has finally arrived as Electronic Arts has released the much awaited patch for its latest iteration in the hugely successful Need For Speed racing video game franchise.

PC users can download the patch right here from Softpedia while PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 players will be prompted to download it when they start the game. As the team who worked on it promised, it will get rid of a lot of problems reported by users, among them issues with framerates and the quite frequent freezes, which really ruined the whole racing experience, as well as some pretty big differences in power between the AI-controlled cars and the player's own vehicle, even though the latter had a much more powerful car.

“While this patch was mainly focused on improving the frame-rate, the team worked particularly hard to get as many other fixes into it as possible. A great example of this is the new difficulty system for expert gamers. If you've played the game a lot you'll notice that the difficulty level ramps up much earlier than previously making the game much more of a challenge.”

Need For Speed: Undercover is the latest iteration in the long running NFS franchise that belongs to Electronic Arts. The game promised to take the whole series to its roots, with street racing at the center of the story. While it sold pretty good, thanks to the loyal fans, the fact that it didn't handle as well as it was supposed to, which was clear in our own review of the game, made a lot of other players choose other titles, such as the recent Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box.

Hopefully, this patch will resolve a lot of issues and will make the game a much more pleasant experience. Until then, see you on the streets of Tri-City.
