In the United Kingdom

The biggest release of the last few weeks, the new Wolfenstein videogame, has not managed to reach the first spot in the United Kingdom videogame chart.

Despite the nostalgia factor that worked in its favor and offering a pretty competent, well, a bit derivative shooting experience, the game in which you fight mysticism-powered Nazis has not managed to prove better than Wii Sports Resort from Nintendo that shows signs that it can have the same kind of longevity that powered the chart success of other Nintendo offerings like Wii Play and Wii Fit.

Behind Wii Sports Resort and new entry Wolfenstein, players can catch a glimpse of Ashes Cricket 2009 from Codemasters, which is still selling well as the memories of the recent success in the test series still linger in England. Wii Fit has been pushed back to fourth place as players are still interested in getting healthy by playing a videogame, with Call of Duty: World at War from Activision sitting at number five, two places higher than during the previous week.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood from Ubisoft is in sixth place, going down two spots, with Mario Kart Wii in seventh place, just like last year. Another sports-oriented title, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 from EA Sports, is in eight place, falling from five, while Fight Night Round 4 shows that boxing can make good gaming in ninth place. The top ten is closed by Prototype from Activision, which returns from number 11.

The biggest losers of the week are Madden NFL 10 from EA Sports, which has gone from number eight to number 20, and the movie tie-in G-Force, from Disney, which is now at number 13, falling down from nine.
