14 DAY TRIAL // A police officer and an MPD have been injured in a shooting at Washington Navy Yard in D.C. just hours ago.
The MPD was shot in both legs, WUSA 9 reports on Twitter and was been transported to GW Hospital.
Hospital officials have confirmed that he has been hospitalized with severe trauma following the shooting at the Navy Yard. He was brought in at 9:07.
Navy officials informed earlier today about several shots fired in the Naval Sea Systems Command building at 8:20 a.m.
“#BREAKING: Still active shooter. More base police entering building. Approx. 3000 people work in bldg. #NavyYardShooting,” the Navy posted in a tweet.
