"A waterproof handset perfect for using in the bathroom or kitchen", presents NTT DoCoMo their new F704i handset. Just how much time someone must spend in the bathroom or kitchen on a daily basis in order to get a special handset for this is uncertain. Still, it has high chances of proving to be quite useful in several other situations, aside from these ones.

Technology and water don't go together, that is a well known fact. Because of this, a mobile phone capable of surviving when being dropped in the swimming pool is even more appealing. F704i comes in a highly appealing design and manages to perfectly combine good looks with high performance. It will be available from now on in four colors: pink, silvery, white and black, as to give its owner the chance of choosing the one which best matches his/her personality. The smooth straight lines of the case make it look modern and practical, just how it really is, in fact.

The F704i clamshell has a 2.2 inch QVGA LCD display screen, just enough for what it has to offer. There are two cameras. The first one is a 1.3 megapixel one capable of providing captures of an average quality or even less. The second camera is a 0.1 megapixel one, excellent for voice conferences.

With this type of calls enabled, it is clear the F704i is actually a 3G enabled handset. Moroever, it also supports WMA playback and the "Napster to Go" service. All these performances come packed in an easy-to-handle case. It measures 100 ?48 ?17.9 mm and weighs 109 grams. That won't win it a place among the most compact and light mobile phones, but still presents no major drawbacks.

F704i will be available at NTT DoCoMo from now on, although a price for it has not been mentioned until now.
