Japanese phone operator NTT DoCoMo has recently released ten new 3G FOMA mobile phones. Along with the SO703i aroma phone, NTT DoCoMo has presented another mobile phone manufactured by Sony Ericsson, the SO903iTV. At first, you might think there is nothing special about this clamshell with a simple and shiny case.

But people who expect more than just a mobile phone and want to be able to use it for as many things as possible might not be disappointed.

The mobile phone comes equipped with a 3 inch 260 k color LCD wide screen with a resolution of 240 x 432 pixels (WQVGA), and a 16:9 ratio as well as a 1.1 inch sub display. The SO903i also includes 1Seg digital TV support and the Bravia Engine for mobile phones developed by Sony and Sony Ericsson.

Users will be able to watch TV wherever they are, at any time, on the large and bright wide screen the mobile phone features. Aside from that, the mobile phone can also be used to record TV shows which can be stored on a MicroSD card. NTT DoCoMo's SO903i supports TV recording or video playback at normal or 1.3x speed and also features a 2 megapixel camera as well as a 0.1 megapixel inner camera.

Like many Japanese phones, the SO903iTV has a very simple design, comes in a clamshell form factor and is available in three colors, Brilliant Red, Metal Black and Pure White. For such a feature packed phone it's no wonder that it's not exactly lightweight, but not extraordinarily bulky either. It measures 111?50x19.5mm and weighs 140 grams. It is expected to become available on NTT DoCoMo in June.
