NEC is known throughout the world for its various display and projector solutions, and it looks like one of the latter type, or a series of them, have been created most recently, bearing the name of V300W.

Most households have one or more displays, be they TVs or monitors, or even as part of all-in-one systems.

Still, for some situations, projectors are more convenient, and this extends to the enterprise sector as well.

That said, NEC has completed its latest series of projectors form the V series, aimed at situations where both ease of use and high image quality are needed without ostentatious image sizes.

In the company's own words, it is “an affordable, lightweight WXGA model that offers users the most essential features needed to display presentations in classrooms or small meeting rooms.”

Dubbed V300W, it has a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels and a contrast ratio of 2,000:1, plus the BrilliantColor technology for improved color accuracy.

Furthermore, a 7-watt speaker is present, as are various other features that bring the benefits of energy efficiency, color correction, ease of use, easy maintenance (filter-free designs) etc.

Everything mentioned above, along with HDMI, dual computer, composite, S-Video and component video connectors are packed inside compact and light frames.

“The V300W is the ideal solution for small-to-medium meeting rooms and classrooms that require high brightness at an affordable price,” said Rich McPherson, Sr. Product Manager for Projectors at NEC Display Solutions.

“The V Series offers four models designed for portability for presenters on-the-go or school libraries that operate a projector check-out system. At 5.5-pounds, these models are packed with automated features and the latest technology innovations, allowing users to focus on the presentation and not the hardware.”

Set to start shipping this month (August 2011), the NEC V300W will have prices of $849 or more and will have the extra assets of LAN (10/100).
