The Motorola XOOM is already available on the market for quite some time, but only recently has U.S. Cellular showed some interest in picking up the tablet. While Cellular South already sells the Wi-Fi only version of the XOOM and Verizon the 3G model (upgradeable to 4G LTE), Sprint and U.S Cellular are expected to retail the tablet sometime in Q2, but it remains to be seen which version either of the two carriers will offer.

According to a leaked internal document made public by the guys over at AndroidCentral, U.S. Cellular will soon announce that it will be adding the Motorola XOOM to its tablet portfolio.

The carrier also mentions in the document, that it will continue to evaluate other tablet products for acceptance in its 2011 lineup, including the BlackBerry PlayBook, which has just become available on the market.

Although there's no information regarding the release date of the tablet or its price, we can assume that the carrier will try to introduce the XOOM as fast as possible.

If U.S. Cellular decides to go with the 3G version of the tablet, it will probably subsidize the device's price for customers who sign a new agreement.

In either cases, the XOOM boasts the same 10.1-inch widescreen HD display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution to support HD videos and movies.

The tablet is powered by a dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 AP20H processor and runs Android Honeycomb.

The XOOM may require some kind of activation with U.S. Cellular network if the carrier offers the 3G version.

Other connectivity features offered by the XOOM include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR support, as well as microUSB 2.0 and built-in GPS.

Additionally, Motorola XOOM features a 2-megapixel front facing camera, as well as a 5-megapixel main camera on the back, which is also capable of capturing HD movies (720p@30fps).
