T-Mobile USA has added Motorola ROKR E8 to its line-up of handsets, in a move intended to offer all the music lovers out there one of the fanciest music-oriented mobile phones of 2008.

ROKR E8 will be available for purchase starting July 7 (less than two weeks from now), for a price that's said to be of $199 with a contract agreement for two years.

The ROKR E8 is super-slim, measuring 4.5 x 2.1 x 0.4 inches (115 x 53 x 10.6 millimeters) at a weight of 3.5 ounces (100 grams). The phone comes with a cool touch-sensitive keypad capable of morphing in order to offer the best-possible control over its functions. Moreover, it packs the following: advanced sound quality, Music player with dedicated keys, a 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, Stereo Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Video player, HTML browser, email and Instant Messaging, myFaves capabilities, a 2 Megapixel camera with video recording, a 2 inch TFT display with 256K colors and 240 x 320 pixels, quad-band GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE, speakerphone, predictive text input, organizer, alarm clock and so on.

Besides having a built-in memory of 2GB, the E8 also comes with a 1GB card in the package, which can be replaced with another one, of up to 4GB - hence storing space won't be a problem at all, even for those who want to have a large collection of songs or videos on their phone.

Moto ROKR E8 includes a 970 mAh battery that, according to T-Mobile, should keep the phone functional for up to 7.5 hours in talk-time mode and up to 12.5 days in stand-by mode.

Features aside, the RORK E8 is definitely a unique appearance on the mobile market and also a music phone that easily stands out with its design. Maybe if Moto had made its screen a bit bigger and included 3G connectivity and/or Wi-Fi, the handset would have really been one to easily conquer the market.

On T-Mobile's official website, in the coming soon section, there's only the black version of ROKR E8, but since the handset also has a platinum one, T-Mo might offer that one too. Anyway, we'll find out more on July 7, when the E8 is planned to go on sale.
