The “impossibly thin” Motorola RAZR MAXX has just been officially confirmed in Poland. According to Motorola, the smartphone is expected to go on sale in select retail stores beginning June 11.

Customers who are willing to wait until Motorola delivers the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the RAZR MAXX can give this phone a try for 2,1999 PLN (630 USD or 505 EUR) outright.

The phone will be shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread at launch, along with MotoCast app, which allows users to stream or download content from a PC directly to the device.

At just 8.99mm, RAZR MAXX is just 1.9mm thicker than Motorola’s Android flagship smartphone, the RAZR. However, the smartphone is made strong with the same premium materials, including KEVLAR fiber, as well as Corning Gorilla Glass and splashguard coating.

Another strong point of the RAZR MAXX is the high-capacity 3,300 mAh Li-Ion battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 25 days of standby time or up to 17.6 hours of talk time. Obviously, continuous usage time will be much lower and depends on what features are used most.

The phone is pretty powerful as it comes equipped with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, which is complemented by 1 GB of RAM. There’s also 16GB of internal memory available for users, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

On the back, the smartphone boasts an impressive 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there’s a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera for video calls.

RAZR MAXX isn’t changing the rules - it’s creating a whole new game. Building on the RAZR heritage it combines the pinnacle of design with mind-blowing power and an incredible battery life that is perfect for people who want to push their smartphone to the limits,” said Małgorzata Matusiewicz , head of marketing Central Europe, Mobile Devices, Motorola Mobility.
