Motorola Droid to Arrive on October 24 at Best Buy

Motorola Droid, the second mobile phone Motorola is set to deliver to the market with Google's Android operating system on board, is now rumored to make an appearance at Best Buy as soon as October 24 is here. The retailer is reportedly stocking the high-end mobile phone, although we are expecting for it to become official only on October 28.

A series of newly leaked screenshots with Best Buy's internal systems (which surfaced on phone Arena) show the Motorola Sholes as a Verizon phone that should be in stock on Saturday, October 24. As many of you might already know, the Motorola Sholes is the codename under which the Motorola Droid has been first spotted into the wild, which means that the second Motorola Android phone is the main character here.

Along with the stock availability of the device, the shots also provide some info on the pricing of the Motorola Droid (Sholes), which is said to be $599. One should agree that, considering the specifications the mobile phone is expected to come to the market with, as well as the features it has been already reported to pack inside, the price tag seems to be a good one.

However, for the time being the October 24 stock availability of Motorola's Droid handset at Best Buy can only be considered a rumor, although we already learned that accessories for the handset arrived at the retailer. At the same time, we should also note that there are very few chances that the handset will become available for purchase before October 28 (most probably it will be put on sale in November).

Hopefully, the phone will hit the shelves as soon as possible, and the $599 price tag for the off-contract purchase will also pan out, yet we should wait for the official announcement to learn the exact details on this (the on-contract price tag should be a much lower one).
