Should come in November-December time frame

Mobile phone maker Motorola seems indeed set to come to the market with some nice handsets running under Google's Android operating system, and Verizon's users should be those to rejoice upon learning this, as two of the company's devices, namely the Motorola Droid (aka Sholes/Tao) and the Motorola Calgary, have just been spotted in the carrier's internal system.

This is not the first time we hear about these Motorola phones, this is for sure, yet it seems that they are moving closer and closer to becoming official. A recent post on BGR shows a few shots with a Verizon Wireless Cellebrite data-transfer tool, and the name of the two handsets appear there. The Cellebrite, in case you are not aware of, is a one-click tool that enables the operator's employees to transfer data from one device to another.

The fact that Motorola A855 Droid and A555 Calgary appear in these shots is also said to indicate that they are to be released into the wild in the near future. We already heard that late November or early December would be the release window for the Motorola A855 Droid / Sholes / Tao, and it seems that those rumors might pan out in the end.

Verizon Wireless already announced recently that it would deliver a series of Android-based mobile phones to the market before the end of the ongoing year, and the Motorola Droid and Calgary might be the lucky handsets here. This possibility is also sustained by the photos that emerged recently with the Android phones that Eric Schmidt, chairman and CEO of Google, and Lowell McAdam, CEO of Verizon Wireless, have showed at the recent Verizon-Google joint announcement you might already know about.

The rumors on Verizon's upcoming Motorola Android handsets have been cycling around for quite some time now, and they add to those pointing at an HTC device running under Android that should soon come to Big Red as well. Verizon's Android phones are making the headlines more and more these days, so expect for an official announcement to be made in the following weeks.
