Mobile phone maker Motorola has reportedly confirmed the official release date for its Moto X smartphone in the United States, namely August 23, just as previous reports on the matter had suggested.

Apparently, a company’s representative has unveiled the launch date to AdAge, as a recent article on Android Authority reports.

Previously, the smartphone was said to have been pegged for availability on that day at Verizon, but it seems that Motorola is actually looking to bring it to shelves at all major carriers in the US at the same time.

Unfortunately, only AT&T users will be able to take advantage of the various customization options that Motorola has announced for the new Android-based device, while Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile customers will only get the chance to grab it in Black and White.
