Wireless carrier Sprint recently announced plans to expand the availability of its Sprint 4G services to more markets during the ongoing year, so as to enable a number of 120 million Americans to enjoy an enhanced mobile Internet experience by the end of the year. According to the company, it will deliver its services to several additional markets in 2010, including Los Angeles and Miami.

A number of 27 markets in the United States already enjoy access to Sprint 4G, and others more will receive it in 2010, Sprint notes, adding that it aims at offering 4G connectivity to major metropolitan areas, so as to enable speeds that are up to 10 times faster than 3G. The markets unveiled now include Cincinnati, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Miami, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City and St. Louis. Spriont notes that they add to the earlier announced Boston, Denver, Kansas City, Houston, Minneapolis, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Markets, all set to receive 4G during the ongoing year.

“And unlike 'concepts' and 'lab tests' from other wireless companies, Sprint is the first national wireless carrier to actually test, launch and market 4G technology. The strength of Sprint 4G lies in its all-IP backbone, common architecture and 4G spectrum depth, which give the company considerable flexibility to ensure that customers have a top mobile experience and the most advanced 4G services available well into the future,” the carrier also notes.

Those who use Sprint 4G will enjoy an enhanced mobile Internet experience, especially with the 4G-powered products, such as the Overdrive 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot and Sprint 3G/4G USB Modem U301 by Franklin. The company also aims at bringing to the market a wider range of 4G devices during the ongoing year, including a single-mode 4G data card and embedded laptops. Not to mention that it will make available the HTC EVO 4G, the first ever 4G smartphone, which has been just announced officially. All Sprint 4G products are available for purchase via Sprint retail stores and other channels, as well as from select Best Buy stores and local retailers.
