Taiwan-based mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is reportedly getting ready for the release of seven new Android handsets to the market during the ongoing year, and it seems that some info on them recently emerged into the wild. Moreover, one of the future devices, namely the HTC Legend, has surfaced in a new photo, accompanied by some detailed specs on it, though rumor has it that we might not be getting the truth on all these devices.

To start with the list of leaked phones, we should mention that handset user profiles from HTC show that it is working on more devices powered by Google's Android operating system, and that their list would include HTC Paradise, a phone with QWERTY keyboard and 240 x 400 pixel display, HTC Halo, QWERTY keyboard version of Tattoo, HTC Liberty, 320 x 480 pixel display, no QWERTY, HTC Huangshan, 320 x 480 pixel display, no QWERTY, and HTC Espresso, with QWERTY keyboard and a 320 x 480 pixel display.

Most of these names have been already spotted into the wild before, and the same applies to the HTC Supersonic, a device with a 480 x 800 pixel display and no QWERTY, but rumored to sport WiMAX connectivity. Today's rumor has it that Supersonic might arrive at T-Mobile USA running under Android 3.0, and there is also a screenshot (below) available from BGR to prove just that. However, the news site says that nothing is yet confirmed, so it remains only a rumor for the time being.

More than just a rumor emerged now on another device included in that list, namely the HTC Legend, which can be seen in the first image attached to this article. According to the leaked specs on this phone, it should measure 112 x 56.3 x 11.5mm, boast WCDMA/HSPA:900/2100MHz and GSM/GPRS/EDGE:850/900/1800/1900MHz connectivity and run under Android 2.x. Legend is also expected to sport a 3.2-inch AMOLED screen with HVGA (320 x 480 pixel) resolution, a Qualcomm MSM 7727 @ 600MHz CPU, 512MB ROM/ 256MB RAM, and a 5MP camera with auto focus and LED Flash.

All seems pretty nice up until now, especially with HTC already known to have issues with keeping the secret on its new devices, but things might not be this way in the end, Engadget reports. According to the news site, a recent tweet from Eldar Murtazin from Mobile Review states that HTC is actually making a “controled [sic] leak of some devices,” so as to mislead the blogosphere. One example in this direction is Halo, which HTC wants us to believe is a smartphone, but which is, in fact, a tablet.
