Canada is set to soon enjoy wireless services coming from another company, it seems, following the recent launch of WIND in the country. The new carrier will start providing services under the name of Mobilicity, with the tag line of “My Phone, My City, My Way,” and is expected to launch its network in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa. According to the latest reports around the Internet, the company is none other than Dave Wireless (Data Audio & Visual Enterprises Inc), which recently invested a large amount of money for 10 licenses in the country.

The new wireless services from Mobilicity are set to become available for mobile phone users in Spring in Toronto with the tag line of “No Contract. No Credit Check. Unlimited Wireless,” mobilesyrup notes, adding that Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Ottawa are expected to receive the services soon after. The wireless services provider has chosen the name of Mobilicity as it comprises two words, Mobile and Simplicity. “Mobilicity will kick the value equation up a notch this spring. If you live and work in one of our cities and you’re looking for the best wireless deal around, you’re going to love Mobilicity,” Dave Dobbin, president of Mobilicity, reportedly stated.

According to the news site, which managed to have a chat with Chairman John Bitove, President Dave Dobbin and Vice President of Marketing Sara Moore from the company, Mobilicity is set to launch services with a series of new mobile phones from Research In Motion, Nokia or Sony Ericsson, and should have them available for purchase at or around the $100 mark. Those who would like to learn additional details on what the new wireless carrier has in store for users for the future should head over to mobilesyrup to take a look at the video interview they posted.

The news site also notes that Sara Moore said the following: “The one thing still missing in Canada for wireless consumers is simplicity. People are still talking about the difference of incoming and outgoing or free calls to the 5 people or family members. Buckets of minutes or buckets of text messaging and plans that have a little bit, and for $5 more you can get unlimited. It’s a bit of a matrix. […] We think there was a great opportunity and remains a great opportunity for a mobile operator to bring simplicity to the wireless marketplace… and that’s why we love this name and we love the logo because it just drives that message in such a bright cheerful, optimistic – which is who we are as a company.”
