Among the tweaked components, Push is mentioned

Apple has announced that the MobileMe service has been updated with a number of improvements, detailing each and every one in a Support document now available online. Mail, Gallery, iDisk Push Contacts and Push Calendar, and the MobileMe Control Panel for Windows version 1.4 are mentioned among the affected components.

After noting that help is now accessible directly from the toolbar, Apple begins to outline changes for Mail, including:

- Forwarding or replying to HTML (rich text) messages maintains the message’s original formatting instead of converting it to plain text; - Unread message count is displayed next to inbox and each folder; - Resolves an issue where an email alias may not appear correctly in Mac OS X Mail; - On an iPhone or iPod touch, a user can search all messages including those stored on the Mobileme "cloud" (server). Search in the From, To, and Subject fields is supported (iPhone OS 3.0 required).

Another updated area that requires iPhone OS 3.0 is Push Contacts and Push Calendar. Improvements have also been made to the Account section of MobileMe. This area is seeing two issues addressed, as well as a new option to convert active accounts with no upgrades to Family Pack sub-accounts.

For iDisk users, uploading to a Public folder with a web browser correctly shows completion status. An issue where an email address may not be recognized as valid when using file sharing has been addressed as well, Apple claims. With MobileMe Control Panel for Windows version 1.4, users will enjoy support for syncing of contacts, calendar, and bookmarks when connecting to the Internet via a proxy server.

About MobileMe

MobileMe automatically pushes new email, contacts and calendar events to your Mac, PC, iPhone and iPod touch, and makes sure all your information stays up-to-date across all your devices. The changes you make on one device are automatically "pushed" to the MobileMe "cloud," then back to every device you use. Besides push email, push calendar and push contacts, MobileMe also offers web applications at me.com, a MobileMe Gallery for photo sharing, MobileMe iDisk for online document access and 20GB of online storage, for a monthly fee. MobileMe replaces .Mac.
