MNI has purchased 57% of Breakpoint shares for EUR 1.2 million

Mobile games developer Breakpoint announced a merger with the Polish company MNI. As a result of the deal, MNI purchased 57% of Breakpoint shares for EUR 1.2 million.

"We start the new year with great perspectives to expand," commented Pawe? Nowak, CEO of Breakpoint's. "It is on account of the MNI Group that Breakpoint is going to have a bigger opportunity for growth, due to new investments and corporate synergy."

Breakpoint forecasts triple increase in sales in 2007. The company has signed contracts for games distribution with carriers all over the world, including Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange; counting a total of almost 80 distributors, 16 being in Poland.

"Breakpoint's incorporation into Group means for MNI further enhancement of its position on the content and services providers market for mobile and interactive channels, including IPTV", said Piotr Koenig, the Chairman of the Board of MNI. "This strengthening is crucial for planned introduction of MNI on the Polish market as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator", he added.

By merging with Breakpoint, MNI implements its strategy of offering complete and advanced services for media and telecommunication market. In the group, Breakpoint is going to maintain its brand and will also keep its management positions. The 2007 investments are going to be placed in development of sales and marketing, as well as in acquiring 1-2 licenses for new games.

Breakpoint is a developer and publisher of entertainment software for wireless devices. Its list of titles covers most major game genres for the Java platform and includes bestsellers such as Speedway3D, Foofa Fortune, Solitaire and Dr. Tetsuo's Sudoku. MNI specializes in creation of multimedia systems for mobile communication and added services for media and business, both in GSM and 3G technologies.
