14 DAY TRIAL // Over the Grammys 2011 weekend (that was last weekend), singer and actress Miley Cyrus and singer John Mayer showed the first signs that romance may be in the air for the two of them, a new report suggests.
Star Magazine has several eyewitnesses confirming that, during the parties that continued throughout the weekend, the two flirted, touched hands when they thought no one was watching and even snuck in a kiss or two, Jezebel writes.
As a side note, John Mayer has quite a reputation as a player, his previous loves including Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston and even Taylor Swift – who wrote a song about how he broke her heart.
Still, Miley believes she can turn him around and make of him an honest man of sorts, sources say for Star, the print issue, for a piece called “Miley Cyrus and John Mayer are ‘Made for Each Other’.”
“She followed John around all night like a puppy dog,” an “eyewitness” says of Miley and John at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party.
“She put her arm around his waist, and even grabbed his behind,” the spy says, adding that Mayer “reciprocated.”
“Things got even hotter between them the following evening at the Grammys,” the source goes on to say.
It was here that they finally revealed that they are definitely more than friends, kissing backstage when they thought no one was looking at them, Star claims.
“It was quick and intense and a bit shocking, but it also seemed sweet. Afterward, Miley slapped his [backside] and told him, ‘You rock!’” says another source.
And there’s more, apparently, since Miley believes she could be “the one” for the “womanizer” Mayer.
“Miley has told friends that she believes she can make John a one-woman man, and thinks they are great together because she’s as wild as he is,” Jezebel writes of the Star piece.
Miley has not said anything yet of this rumor and, knowing her, she probably won’t. What she will do if this is true is step out with John on the red carpet for some movie premiere the second opportunity arises, so this should be enough confirmation.
