Either a ZuneHD or Zune services for WM

According to the latest news on the Web, Microsoft is getting ready to deliver something to its users as soon as next month. A recently posted tweet says that the Redmond company will come to the market next month with something connected to Zune, while also saying that those willing to purchase a new iPhone or a Palm Pre should hold their horses.

There is no exact information on what is coming our way from Microsoft in a month or so, but a lot of rumors started cycling the web, pointing either towards a ZuneHD or a Zune phone. One way or another, June is going to be “an important month for Zune lovers,” though we are almost sure that nothing in regard to a Zune phone could surface, as Microsoft already stated loud and clear that it was out of the question.

On the other hand, as there is a clear suggestion that whatever will happen is connected to mobile phones one way or another, we might very well consider this announcement as referring to the Zune services, which have already been rumored to head towards the Windows Mobile space, the future iteration of the platform even being suggested to feature integration with the services.

Another thing that might be connected to Zune is the also rumored “Pink” project, said to consist both of a phone, which should have something to do with Microsoft in the end, and the services associated with it, some of which point towards the Zune services once again, meaning that most of the Zune-related events in June might indeed have something to do with these.

Whether it's about a ZuneHD (the E3 gaming expo is reported to start on June 2, and there might be announcements regarding the ZuneHD featuring support for some sort of Xbox game integration) or about the Zune services (which should be getting closer to the Windows Mobile operating system), Microsoft isn't the only company that has big plans for June, as we also expect the Palm Pre to be launched at the beginning of the month, while Apple's WWDC should kick off on June 8, which means that this should be quite a crowded period.
