Micromax has just launched a new Android tablet in India, the Funbook Talk P360. Android fans won’t be that enthusiastic about this affordable slate, which doesn’t offer too much in terms of specs.

According to AndroidOS, Micromax Funbook Talk P360 is now available for purchase via Saholic for only Rs 7,049 outright, which is about $130 or €100. Check it out here.

The only reason one would want to purchase the Funbook Talk P360 should be the fact that it offers voice calling capability but, other than that, there are no other features that would make it stand out from other affordable tablets available on the market.

Micromax Funbook Talk P360 will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box, so no Jelly Bean for this one.

The 7-inch TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen display supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution. Hardware-wise, the tablet is far from being impressive, as it packs a 1GHz single-core ARM Cortex A8 processor, which is complemented by 1GB of RAM.

On the inside, the tablet packs 4GB of internal memory, but only 2GB are user-available. Fortunately, users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

There’s also a sub-par 2-megaixel rear-facing camera, which will allow users to capture videos as well. On the front, the tablet sports a secondary VGA camera for video calls.

However, keep in mind that this tablet does not come with 3G connectivity, but it will allow users to attach an USB dongle in order to benefit from faster data speeds.

Other highlights of the Micromax Funbook Talk P360 include: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 support, built-in GPS receiver, HDMI port, 3.5mm audio jack and 3,000 mAh Li-Ion battery. The latter should provide up to 160 hours of standby time or up to 4 hours of talk time.
