The smartphone packs a 5-inch screen, quad-core CPU, Android 4.2.1

A new smartphone is now official on Micromax’s website, namely the A110Q Canvas 2 Plus, set to arrive on shelves as the successor of the A110 Canvas 2.

The handset sports a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display, a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of internal memory (along with a microSD memory card slot).

Additionally, the smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, as well as with a 2MP front camera for making video calls, while running under Google’s Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean platform, as Fonearena notes.

The device also packs 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, built-in GPS receiver, and a 2000 mAh battery, along with Dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) capabilities.

The Micromax A110Q Canvas 2 Plus features a price of Rs. 12,100 ($217 / €171) and should become available in the near future.
