Meredith Vieira left Who Wants to Be a Millionaire in May and, since then, she’s been working on a new project: USA Today confirms that she will be starting on her own daytime talk show in September 2014.

The talk show will be syndicated by NBC Universal to local stations, and will shoot in New York in a studio made to replicate her actual home.

It will even include personal belongings she will bring from home, such as personal photos and furniture.

“As a journalist on Today and 60 Minutes, I learned how to really listen to people and help give them a voice,” Vieira says in a statement.

“On The View, I unleashed my own opinionated self and discovered the empowerment that comes with sometimes heated, but always respectful, discussion. And on Millionaire, I relished the joy of changing people's lives while having pure fun,” she continues.

With all this experience behind her, she can now continue interacting with people, be they celebrities or regular folks, this time on a daily basis.

Her show will be the usual blend of celebrity topics and human-interest segments.
