Melanie Brown, also known as Mel B or Scary Spice from back in her Spice Girls days, has always been in the best shape possible. Having already put out a fitness DVD and showcased her impressive physique in a burlesque show, Melanie is now determined to make a difference by helping people lead a healthier life, as the Telegraph informs.

As such, she has just launched the International Fitness Week, a worldwide program that will see gyms all over open their doors to offer free training to anyone interested in becoming more active. The singer also says she hopes that, by endorsing the initiative, people will find in her own example the motivation they need to get off the couch and into the gym, to get moving.

“The star launched International Fitness Week on Thursday, which aims to inspire people to change their lifestyle for the better and become more active. The superfit singer, who is soon to host US TV show Dance Your [Backside] Off, was launching the week, which runs from February 1 to 7, at a central London Fitness First gym. […] Fitness First is offering free sessions to visitors with passes available from the International Fitness Week website (internationalfitnessweek.com) which also has exercise packs,” the Telegraph writes of the campaign.

“I want to encourage everyone to find what works for them and make being active part of their lifestyle. It’s easier than you think to get totally fit and we will show you how,” Melanie said at the launch in London, in between posing for photos and showing off her skills with a ball. Speaking of which, the British media also notes that, while Brown has always been in top shape, she’s looking particularly fit these days, which was clearly noticeable as she wore a pair of tight pants and a tight tank top.

A little over a year ago, we were also telling you that Brown’s fitness DVD, “Totally Fit Mel B,” priced by £20, was described by reviewers as ideal for losing the holiday weight or generally staying in top shape. Since she’s the one who came up with it, it’s no wonder she’s looking so good, one might as well add.
