Chinese company Meizu has just announced the immediate availability of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for MX and M9 models.

According to the handset vendor, this ROM is a public beta testing version of Ice Cream Sandwich, which is based on stock Android 4.0, so owner of these phones should not expect any customizations from this software update.

This is not the first time Meizu releases an Android 4.0 ROM for MX and M9, as the company launched a private beta testing program for the long-awaited upgrade a while back.

However, the new build, which is now available for public use, has received lits of bug fixes and support for the company's flagship smartphone, the Meizu MX.

In addition, this build brings a new look and feel to Android on MEIZU MX and M9, and features a redesigned user interface along with new design and usage concepts.

The new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich beta firmware is available for download starting today via Meizu's support site.
