After showing off Medal of Honor: Warfighter’s gameplay and its various multiplayer maps, Electronic Arts and its Danger Close studio have now revealed the first trailer that focuses squarely on the single-player campaign from the upcoming first-person shooter.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter continues the narrative from the franchise’s reboot we saw back in 2010, telling a new story starring a team of Tier 1 Operators from the United States of America.

As we heard in previous videos, their journey pits them against a new terrorist organization and sees them engage in missions from all over the world, starting with the Philippines and reaching Somalia as well as other conflict zones.

Now, it’s time to showcase the actual characters from the game, as a new trailer has appeared that focuses on Preacher, one of the operators from the first game, and how he needs to cope with coming back from assignment and reconnecting with his family.

“Medal of Honor: Warfighter tells the story of US Tier 1 Operator, Preacher as he returns home from overseas only to find his family torn apart from years of deployment (including his time spent as a member of AFO Neptune in MoH 2010),” EA said about the new video.

“Trying to pick up the pieces to salvage what remains of his marriage, Preacher is reminded of what he's fighting for - family. But when an extremely deadly explosive (PETN) penetrates civilian borders and his two worlds collide, Preacher and his fellow teammates are sent in to solve the problem. They take the fight to the enemy and do whatever it takes to protect their loved ones from harm.”

Besides the focus on Preacher, the video, which you can enjoy below, features plenty of gameplay and many explosive scenes that will no doubt thrill those who go through the campaign.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is out on October 23, in North America, and October 25, in Europe, for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
