After postponing the traditional multiplayer challenge last week, BioWare has now confirmed that it would run a special online event this weekend for Mass Effect 3, in the form of Operation Broadside.
Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode has been quite successful largely because BioWare has kept on organizing special events every other weekend in the form of Operations.
The latest challenge weekend is Operation Broadside, which tasks players with completing two different goals, one for their own squad and one for the whole community.
The squad goal challenges players to successfully complete a match against Reapers on the Gold difficulty, while the allied one tasks them with completing 400,000 victories against the Reapers on any difficulty.
As always, the squad goal nets players a Commendation Pack, while the allied one gives them a Victory Pack, while increasing the Medi-gel cap from 5 to 6.
Operation Broadside starts at 10am PST on Friday, July 13, and apparently ends at 10am PST on Sunday, July 15, although previous challenges ended on Monday morning. As always, it will be available on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
