14 DAY TRIAL // The upcoming Mariah Carey album, although yet in the limbo of unannounced productions, seems to be shaping up just nicely, “lambs” will be pleased to hear from the singer herself. Aside from the producers already named in the past, Mariah has also brought hitmaker Timbaland to work on tracks on the next material, the singer reveals in a recent post on her Twitter page.
As fans must know, Mariah often takes to the micro-blogging website to keep them up to date with work on the studio album, her twelfth so far. Just recently, the singer revealed that she was working with Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox the same way – and now it’s Timbaland’s turn to be “introduced” to the fans. In the same Twitter post, Carey also hints that she might be eyeing an August date for the release of the album, but, as of now, nothing has been confirmed officially.
After “E=MC2,” which was, according to fans, a pleasure to listen to, but quite a disappointment if you ask critics, Mariah took a longer break to enjoy married life and focus on her happiness. She has not released anything new since she completed work on the aforementioned album save for a track and video called “Love Story,” made on the occasion of her and Nick’s one-year anniversary as some sort of present to her fans, whom she refers to as “lambs.”
More recently, Mariah also started paying more attention to her once much-derided acting career, having been in Cannes for the prestigious film festival with a new movie, “Precious,” which has garnered nothing but positive attention so far. As a matter of fact, early reviews of Carey’s performance in the film have it that she literally manages to stand out both for the almost unbelievable physical transformation she underwent for the film and for her amazing performance.
Last time fans got to hear anything new about Mariah’s upcoming album it was from a conversation on Twitter between Dupri and Cox.
