Scheduled for a December 15th release, Mana Chronicles for Android has been released on the Android Market one day earlier. The classic action-RPG game was designed by Spearhead Entertainment, the same developer who launched another interesting action-platform title for the Android platform – Phoenix Spirit.

Little is known about the story behind the game, but the graphics and the special effects are both enjoyable. The action of the game blends perfectly with the RPG elements, as players have plenty of gear to find, quests to solve and enemies to battle.

The main features of the Mana Chronicles include:

- Special Abilities - Unleash massive attacks with your fire, ice or lightening abilities; - Three areas - The Inferno, defend the village and the magic forest; - Equipment - Lots of legendary items to find; - 2 gameplay modes: Story and Mission; - Great Zenonia-style graphics; - Touch screen controls.

For those who didn't have the chance to try out Gamevil's Zenonia series, both games have been positively received by the media and the players community.

Mobile games publisher and developer Gamevil also announced a Nintendo DSiWare for its action role-playing game Zenonia, which is now available in stores.

Mana Chronicles's graphics is closer to that of the older RPGs developed for the PC, which means that it doesn't have any 3D elements. Fortunately, fans of the genre will find it perfectly suitable as the game brings back the classic RPG style, which offers massive playtime and interesting storylines.

Mana Chronicles for Android is available for download from Android Market for $2.24. The game is compatible with devices running Android OS 2.1 or newer and requires 30MB storage space.

It is unclear if the application can be installed on the SD memory card. Several users have reported that the game does not have a 'Quit' option.
