Well renowned boutique builder Maingear has decided that it’s time to release an all-in-one computer of its own, so it recently introduced the Solo 21 PC targeting those users who want a full-size desktop without the hassle of wires and other connections.

The central point of the new Solo 21 is its 21.5-inch Full HD, LED backlit display that can feature optional 10-point touchscreen functionality, while Intel’s Sandy Bridge processors stand at its heart.

The base version of the AIO comes equipped with a Core i3-2125 CPU running at 3.3GHz, but users have the option of going for a variety of other chips, topping with the Core i7 2600S.

Intel’s fast processors can be paired with 4GB to 16GB of system memory, while for storage purposes Maingear decide to go with a 500GB hard drive seconded by a 32GB SSD that works as a fast cache for the former.

It goes without saying that the Solo 21 can also be equipped with higher capacity HDDs, up to 2TB to be more specific, while additional storage can be added via the two USB 3.0 ports installed.

A DVD burner is also included, along with 802.11n and Bluetooth connectivity. The Solo 21 runs Microsoft’s Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system.

"The new Maingear Solo 21 is the perfect PC to meet the increased market demand of having an all-in-one PC that is more versatile for business or entertainment use,” said Wallace Santos, CEO and founder of Maingear.

“Maingear continues to be an innovation leader with the release of this unique all-new all-in-one, which offers premium features, stylish design and upgradability that no one else offers," concluded the company’s rep.

Pricing for the base model was set at $999 (roughly 766 EUR) and, for those of you ordering now, the Solo 21 all-in-one will start shipping on March 23.
