Christina Hendricks, one of the most beautiful women in showbiz right now, is perhaps among the very few female stars whom regular women don’t envy or despise – and that’s precisely because she is closest to a regular woman thanks to her famous curves and refusal to diet. As it turns out, she’s not the only one who will show off her killer figure on the latest season of the show, as all the ladies have been instructed not to lose weight, SheKnows writes.

According to the women-oriented publication, the entire female cast of the show is under strict orders not to lose weight because producers want to continue putting in front of the camera curvy, healthy women that can become role models for others. Consequently, they’ve been told to avoid becoming gym fanatics and to banish the thought of going on a diet. Of course, that’s not to say they have green light to pigging out either, the same e-zine notes.

“In order to keep their kicking silhouettes, January Jones, Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss are encouraged to skip the gym and forgo dieting by Mad Men creator, Matthew Weiner. Weiner isn’t suggesting the vivacious beauties go hog wild, so don’t get any ideas. January Jones told the British magazine Tatler, ‘He [Matthew Weiner] would prefer we didn’t work out and that we eat really well, so we look like healthy women’,” SheKnows writes.

“Mad Men producers allegedly felt January Jones was too thin last year and it helped her embrace the healthy side of being fit. ‘It’s okay to have curves and be a woman,’ Jones advocated. ‘I wish more women would realize that’s what men like.’ January Jones’ costar, Christina Hendricks, was named Esquire’s best looking woman of the year, which gives women something to think about when forcing down cleanses and liquid diets,” the same e-zine further says.

And that’s not all that Hendricks stands for in showbiz, as we also noted yesterday. Because she has curves and looks like a normal woman, but is also incredibly good looking and very open about everything, she has become a pinup and, at the same time, a role model for all the ladies out there. After so many years of being told that only a size 0 or something closest to it is acceptable, women see Christina, her body and her attitude like a genuine breath of fresh air.
