Mac owners who like to take some time off at the end of a busy week should know that Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords has just arrived for Mac. Transgaming has announced that the RPG-puzzle game for Mac OS X v10.4.10/Mac OS X v10.5.1 Leopard is now available for $19.99.

According to the publisher, Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords is a combination of classic RPG and puzzle elements in which players must create a character and venture off in the world of the Warlords. Whether you go by the rumors, take on quests, unravel mysteries, defeat foes, both casual and hardcore gamers will find the title appealing, with five to fifteen-minute play sessions and turn-based play style gameplay. As Transgaming reveals, the game incorporates more than RPG and puzzle elements at times ? strategy elements also make their appearance as you move forward within the game.

Set in the Warlords universe, the game challenges players to create, develop and customize the ultimate hero in order to save the land of Etheria from evil Lord Bane. To advance their character, players battle in turn-based, head-to-head "match-three" style puzzle games in one of three distinct gameplay modes, according to the official description. Single-player allows gamers to battle against the AI, as they embark on over 150 challenging quests. Instant Action allows gamers to jump in and immediately play continuous battles to level-up characters without participating in quests. Multiplayer allows gamers to battle live opponents. If victorious, your hero will advance, being rewarded with a magical arsenal, creature companions and more.

System requirements call for: Mac OS X v10.4.10/Mac OS X v10.5.1 Leopard, CPU: Intel Core Duo Processor, 1024MB memory, 150MB hard-disk space, ATI X1600/NVIDIA 7300 GT/Intel integrated graphics chip. Control is done via keyboard and mouse.
