When they took to the stage to accept the Best Kiss award at the MTV Movie Awards 2011, fans actually hoped that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, third time winners, would finally lock lips. Apparently, so did Kristen, says a new report.After the usual teasing onstage,
for a brief moment, it seemed certain that Robert and Kristen, a couple in real-life as well, not just in the “Twilight” films, would kiss – and then Robert said he wasn’t in the mood.
Though the moment seemed scripted, the
Daily Mirror claims it wasn’t and that it took Kristen completely by surprise, because she really expected him to kiss her.
In fact, she was more than surprised: she was furious that he would do this to her, and shame her publicly. Consequently, when they walked off the stage, she gave him a piece of her mind, says the report.
“The on/off couple briefly returned to off as the actress tore a strip off the vampire heart-throb, screeching across the VIP area backstage: ‘You made me look like a total jerk out there!’” the British tab writes, citing sources from inside the ceremony.
“As the British actor, 25, tried to defend himself, she raised a ‘talk to the hand’ palm and brushed past him,” the Daily Mirror says.
“And when R-Patz again tried to defend himself, she muttered, ‘Don’t even bother,’ before flouncing off into the main auditorium,” adds the publication.
Luckily, Kristen could not
stay mad at Robert for long.
“But love always finds a way. So the star ran after her again and – after three minutes of heated debate – all was once again well with the young couple,” the Daily Mirror informs.
If true, this would come to contradict earlier reports, which had it that Robert and Kristen were acting vey lovey-dovey throughout the awards show, taking the only precaution of checking to see if any camera was on them.
They could hardly keep their hands off each other and would constantly steal kisses when they thought no one was watching, eyewitnesses told the US media, as we also
informed you yesterday.
