14 DAY TRIAL // A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do and, in Blake Lively’s case, that means promoting the upcoming “Green Lantern.” Putting the leaked photos scandal behind her, Blake was on hand at the MTV Movie Awards 2011.
Though speculation late last week had it that she would still attend the awards show to promote the film, there were some doubts that she’d actually make it, especially after the public embarrassment of the leaked pics.
As it turns out, Blake honored her commitment, put on a brave face and came to the awards show.
Not only did the “Gossip Girl” star pose for pictures on the red carpet, but she also made an appearance onstage, together with “Green Lantern” co-star Ryan Reynolds, to present the award for Best Kiss.
It went to Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart for their smooch(es) in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” and it was one of the funniest moments of the night, as Rob went back in the pit and planted a kiss on the lips of Taylor Lautner.
Back to Blake, she covered herself in a gorgeous, body hugging Michael Kors blue dress, which she accessorized with jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz and Louboutin shoes.
Over the weekend, fresh reports were saying that there was a very good chance she’d personally leaked her private photos to drum up publicity for “Green Lantern,” her first major action movie role.
The rumors were backed up by none other than Joe Francis of “Girls Gone Wild,” who claimed to know for a fact that it was so, though he didn’t offer any evidence for it.
“I would say 90 percent it’s an orchestrated attempt or act on her part [to raise her profile],” he said, as we also informed you on Saturday.
“Look, mainstream USA, other than the five people that watch Gossip Girl have never heard of Blake Lively,” Francis added.
