PC enthusiasts will be looking forward for the opening of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada, as Logitech, one of the leading manufacturers of gaming peripherals, has just introduced a new series of products, specifically designed for high-end gaming PCs. The company announced today the new Logitech G19 gaming keyboard (initially rumored as the G18), the Logitech G35 surround sound headset and the new Logitech G9x laser mouse. The G-series products join one of the company's recently announced G13 advanced gameboard, offering PC and gaming enthusiasts a wide range of new products, which have been crafted to meet their high-performance requirements.

“The G-series product line is all about seeing how far we can push the envelope, giving gamers extraordinary, engineered-to-win features developed as a result of our deep connection with the gaming community,” said Ruben Mookerjee, Logitech’s director of product marketing for gaming. “With each one of these new G-series products, gamers gain exceptional benefits; but most importantly, they can transform their gear to suit their gameplay.”

Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard

Logitech's experience in designing PC peripherals meant for gaming applications is marked by products such as the G15 keyboard or the G9 mouse. Taking that experience a step further, the company introduced the new G19 Keyboard for gaming, which boasts a design similar to that of the G15, but comes to provide its users with a new tiltable, 320-by-240 pixel color GamePanel LCD. This offers in-game information, with support for over sixty games, including the world famous “World of Warcraft.” Furthermore, the built-in display can provide details on VoIP communication data, clock, CPU load, or different pictures or videos.

In addition, the new gaming keyboard boasts 12 fully programmable G-keys, offering three macros per key, for a total of 36 time-saving commands per game. Also, users can take advantage of its multi-key input-functionality, which allows for up to five keys to be engaged at the same time. For a better peripheral management, the keyboard is featured with two high-speed USB 2.0 ports.

Logitech G9x Laser Mouse

Besides the new keyboard, the company also announced the new G9x laser mouse, built on the award-wining G9 Laser Mouse. The new gaming peripheral boasts on-the-fly adjustable dpi, ranging from 200 to 5000 dpi, offering support for pixel-precise targeting and lightning-fast maneuvers.

It includes two interchangeable, snap-on grips and features on-board memory, enabling users to program up to five ready-to-play profiles. A weight-tuning system is also available, providing users with up to 28 grams of extra weight.

Logitech G35 Surround Sound Headset

The Logitech G35 comes to provide its users with a headset that offers a 7.1 surround sound, offering support for the increasing number of gaming applications and high-definition movies that boast 7.1-channel surround sound. The new headset is powered by a second-generation Dolby Headphone technology, offering a simulation of the complex acoustics in a listening room, while the ear-enclosing design reduces the ambient noise.

In addition, Logitech provides the new G35 surround sound headset with a software application that allows users to enjoy up to six voice-morphing options, including cyborg, giant, mutant, space squirrel, troll and alien. Three, built-in G-keys, placed on the left earpiece of the headset, allows for one-touch command over voice morphing, while on-ear audio controls provide access to volume, microphone mute and surround sound adjustments.

Users interested in purchasing one of the aforementioned products should take into account that the G19 keyboard and the G35 headset are expected to become available in March, while the G9x laser mouse will come up in April. The suggested price tags for the new products are US$199.99, US$129.99 and US$99.99, for the G19, G35 and G9x, respectively.
